Elba Aquarium

The Aquarium of Elba is a completely private bulding operating on a small island, without ever seeking or using public funds. It can not therefore be compared to the great Aquariums made or renovated in recent years by large multinationals or public bodies: however, it is considered one of the most complete Mediterranean aquariums existing .
Arranged on an entirely covered exhibition area of about 1000 square mt, open in every weather conditions, more than 80 tanks, fed by 250,000 liters of seawater: made in a traditional way in a particular alternation of shapes and sizes, have been set up with natural and artificial materials trying to reproduce as closely as possible typical habitats of the different organisms.
